Frontenac Media

Welcome to Frontenac Media!

Timothy Forbes, proprietor of Frontenac Media.

About us

Two Web projects in late 2004 led to the creation of Frontenac Media. Based in Upstate New York, Frontenac Media offers to you, the discerning customer, quality Web sites that use high-quality use of English (both American and International useage); a sense of organisation; and easy navigation—qualities that are often missing in cyberspace.

Frontenac Media is owned and operated by Timothy J. Forbes, a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications of Syracuse University. Timothy has worked as suburban editor of the Glens Falls, NY, Post-Star, as well as two legal publishers in Upstate New York. He also brings his varied personal experiences as well, from his travels to Europe and South America to his involvement with the comic book and entertainment industries. Timothy has created pages en Español, and can create pages in other languages, as needed.

And since 2011, we offer video services for different events; Batman 1969, a comic book fan film, was released in July of that year. We have also produced "Cat Blogs" that have been released on YouTube.

Who (or what) is Frontenac? About our name …

Kingston, Ontario, inspiration for Frontenac Media.

Count Frontenac was a French nobleman who governed New France in the 17th Century, which meant he governed an area that constitutes present-day Canada. Frontenac Media is named in honour of Frontenac County, Ontario, where Kingston is located. That city has proved to be an inspiration, because the St. Lawrence River opens up to become Lake Ontario, a sort of frontier setting, an opening to a vast body of water. Likewise, Frontenac Media seeks to open media frontiers of its own!
